Passenger Tried to open Aircraft’s door mid-air

A first-time air passenger was taken into custody for trying to open the exit door of an aircraft mistaking it for that of the lavatory, triggering panic among flyers on board, police said on Monday.

The passenger is a resident of Kankarbagh locality. During interrogation, he said he was traveling by air for the first time and he tried to open the plane door mistaking it for the way to the lavatory, they said.

The man was taken into custody after the airport authorities were informed about the incident.
