DMK MLA arrested in shooting case
Tamil Nadu Police on Sunday arrested DMK lawmaker representing Thiruporur, L. Idhayavarman, in connection with shooting at an AMMK party worker over a land dispute.
According to police, on late Saturday, Idhayavarman”s father Lakshmipathi fired three rounds after he and his supporters were attacked by the AMMK party worker”s friend Kumar over a land dispute.
Lakshmipathi fired at AMMK worker Thandavamurthy”s car in which the assailants were escaping at Thiruporur in Chengalpattu district.
