Sony sold 1.3 mn smartphones during holiday period
Tokyo-headquartered Sony sold 1.3 million smartphones during the holiday season, which is over twice as many as the previous quarter wherein the sales numbers stood at about 600,000.
The company announced this in its financial report for the third fiscal quarter (October-December) of 2019.
However, the report shows a 20 percent decline in profit on a quarterly basis due to weak sales of imaging sensors or content from the entertainment department.
