Youth Succumbs to Injuries After Setting Himself Ablaze Alleging Police Harassment

Tragically, a 23-year-old youth named Kiran Kumar, hailing from Nagarle village in Nanjangud taluk, succumbed to his injuries after setting himself on fire. In a distressing video, Kumar alleged police harassment, claiming he was compelled to take such drastic action due to mistreatment in police custody.

The incident reportedly occurred after he was detained by Biligere police in connection with a village violence case. After experiencing alleged torture, Kumar escaped custody, returning home to commit self-immolation. He was rushed to K.R. Hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to burn injuries.
