Youth Arrested in Goa for Allegedly Outraging Modesty of Minor Girl

A 20-year-old youth has been apprehended by Goa police on charges of outraging the modesty of a minor girl. The arrest came after the victim’s father filed a complaint, stating that an unknown male had inappropriately touched his daughter in a public place before fleeing the scene.

The accused, identified as Majid Khan, hails from Bardez, Goa, but is originally from Rajasthan. Police formed two teams to identify and locate the suspect, using CCTV footage from various locations. Majid Khan was subsequently arrested, and he faces charges under section 354 IPC, Sec 8 of the Goa Children’s Act, and Sec 8 of the POCSO Act.
