Youth Allegedly Assaulted and Subjected to Humiliation After Cricket Spat in Lucknow

In Lucknow’s Indira Nagar area, an 18-year-old youth was allegedly assaulted and humiliated by a group of about 25-30 individuals following a dispute at a cricket match. The incident, which occurred on January 13, became known after the victim’s father, Sandeep Kumar Rawat, lodged an FIR. The victim, Lucky, faced verbal abuse and religious slurs after a spat over a cricket ball.

The group intercepted Lucky again, assaulted him, and allegedly urinated on his face. Rawat claimed the assailants later visited his house, but the situation was defused. The police have registered a case against Fardeen and others under various sections of the IPC and the SC/ST Act. Authorities are investigating the incident based on CCTV footage, eyewitness accounts, and other evidence. The police have not confirmed the urination charge, and action will be taken based on the ongoing probe.
