Workshop on Community Based Disaster Risk Management at Anna University
The Centre for Climate Change and Disaster Management (CCCDM) at Anna University, along with the Good Vision Seva Trust, recently organized a workshop focused on Community Based Disaster Risk Management. Attended by bureaucrats and experts, the workshop aimed to address the challenges posed by floods, raise awareness about the impacts of climate change, and develop actionable projects that integrate climate-conscious initiatives into daily life.
Among the notable attendees were Minister for Milk and Dairy, Mano Thangaraj, and Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary to the Department of Environment, Climate Change, and Forests. The panel also included former bureaucrat Dr. V. Thiruppugazh, S.A. Raman, Director of Disaster Management, A. Ramachandran, Emeritus Professor at the Centre for Climate Change and Disaster Management, and R. Velraj, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University.
