Woman Killed by Wild Elephant in Karnataka’s Hassan District

A tragic incident occurred in Karnataka’s Hassan district as a 37-year-old woman named Kavitha was killed by a wild elephant while she was at her farm. Kavitha, who had come to visit her parents in Vaduru village, was attacked by a lone tusker that appeared unexpectedly while she was on her farm located behind her parents’ house.

Despite being rushed to the Hassan district hospital by family members, she couldn’t survive her injuries. Forest department officers arrived at the scene to locate and relocate the wild elephant. The villagers are expressing concern over the increasing frequency of elephant attacks in the area.
