Was waiting for the bowler to make a mistake: Rohit
Rohit Sharma hit two sixes off the last two balls of the Super Over to take India to a series win over New Zealand in Hamilton. India needed 10 to win off the last two balls and Rohit sent Tim Southee over long-on and long-off to get India over the line.
This was India”s first Super Over contest and Rohit said he did not really know what to expect and looked to stay calm at the crease.
“I didn’t know what to expect, whether to go from the first ball or just take a single, try and put pressure on the last three or four balls of the over. I just wanted to stay still and was waiting for the bowler to make a mistake,” he pointed.
