Warangal Market Hits Season’s Peak: Red Chilli Reaches ₹40,000 per Quintal

In a remarkable development, the desi variety of red chilli fetched a record price of ₹40,000 per quintal at the Enumamula market in Warangal, marking the highest rate for the ongoing season. The sale, orchestrated by farmer B. Alipaiah from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, to a private trader, signifies the market’s bullish trend amidst the arrival of 35,000 bags since December 1.

This surge echoes memories of the all-time record price of ₹90,000 per quintal witnessed in September 2022 at the Enumamula agriculture marketyard, highlighting the volatility and potential profitability of the chilli market in the region.
