Authorities have identified the nine victims of the horrific terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. Among the casualties are four individuals from Rajasthan, including a two-year-old boy, and three from Uttar Pradesh. Currently, 41 pilgrims, predominantly from Uttar Pradesh, are receiving treatment in hospitals across Jammu and Reasi districts, with ten of them sustaining gunshot wounds.
The attack occurred when terrorists opened fire on the bus traveling from Shiv Khori temple to Katra, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into a gorge near Teryath village. Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishesh Paul Mahajan confirmed the identities of all victims, including the driver and conductor, and stated that arrangements are underway to repatriate the bodies to their respective states.
