Vem Technologies is set to invest ₹1,000 crore in a new defence production facility at the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad, Telangana. Slated for a trial run by December next year, the integrated production centre will span 511 acres and generate around 1,000 jobs. Telangana Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu emphasized the need for swift resolution of land acquisition and infrastructure issues to support the project’s development.
The new plant will enhance Vem Technologies’ capabilities in manufacturing advanced weapon systems and support the state’s growing defence sector. This investment aligns with the company’s 2021 MoU with Telangana to expand its defence manufacturing footprint.
