The Uttar Pradesh Congress will proceed with its plan to visit Ayodhya on Makar Sankranti, offering prayers at the makeshift Ram temple, despite respectfully declining the invitation for the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony. State in-charge Avinash Pande and UPCC chief Ajay Rai, along with a 100-member delegation, will lead the visit, which includes leaders like Pramod Tiwari and P L Punia.
Ajay Rai affirmed that there is no change in the program, and Congress leaders will follow the scheduled itinerary, including a dip in the Saryu river and visits to the Ram temple and Hanuman Garhi.
