Unknown Gunmen Kill Nine, Injure Others in Bus Attack in Ghana’s Upper East Region
In Ghana’s Upper East Region, at least nine people were tragically killed, and several others injured when a group of unidentified gunmen opened fire on buses traveling from Bawku to a market center in Burkina Faso. The victims were part of a convoy accompanied by a police escort due to armed attacks in the Bawku area.
The attack occurred near Pusiga, where the gunmen ambushed the buses at close range. Authorities, including security services, have responded swiftly to the incident, launching a search for the attackers while enhancing security measures. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the assault.
