Union Minister Commends Andhra Pradesh’s Aarogyasri and Family Doctor Initiatives
Union Minister of State S.P. Singh Baghel praised the YSR Aarogyasri scheme and Family Doctor initiatives implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government. During his visit to the Rajanagaram Primary Health Centre (PHC), accompanied by East Godavari Collector K. Madhavilatha, Mr. Baghel inquired about the coverage and impact of Central government health schemes in the region.
The Family Doctor initiative, covering 1.82 lakh households, involves providing doorstep medical treatment to patients. The ongoing second phase of the Arogya Suraksha program in East Godavari district was also discussed during the visit, with health officials present.
