UN Special Rapporteur to Visit South Korea for North Korean Human Rights Discussions
Elizabeth Salmon, the UN special rapporteur for North Korea’s human rights, is set to visit South Korea next week. During her nine-day stay, she will meet with various South Korean officials, including those from foreign affairs, unification, and justice, as well as North Korean defectors.
Salmon’s visit aims to gather information and insights on human rights issues in North Korea, which will be compiled into a report and submitted to the UN.
