UN General Assembly President, Dennis Francis, is set to visit India later this month after attending the Nonaligned and Group of 77 summits in Uganda. According to his spokesperson, Monica Grayley, the visit to India will follow his trip to Kampala from January 17 to 21.
The itinerary for the India visit has not been disclosed, but discussions on Security Council reform, South-South Cooperation, and the UN’s sustainable development goals are expected. Dennis Francis has emphasized the need to move ahead with the Security Council reform, an issue of importance to India.
