Two Detained for Defacing Delhi Metro Stations with Pro-Khalistani Messages

The Delhi Police’s Special Cell has taken into custody two individuals from Punjab on charges of vandalizing walls at five Delhi Metro stations with pro-Khalistani messages. A video released by the banned organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) showcased the defaced metro station walls, with SFJ’s spokesperson Gurpatwant Singh Pannun announcing plans for a Khalistan referendum in Canada during the G20 Summit in Delhi on September 10.

The detained individuals are currently under interrogation, as authorities work to gather more information about the incident. Previously, slogans like “Delhi Banega Khalistan” and “Khalistan Zindabad” were found sprayed on the walls of Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar, Udyog Nagar, and Maharaja Surajmal Stadium metro stations, along with a government school wall in Nangloi. The upcoming G20 Summit in Delhi is scheduled for September 9-10.
