Two Brutal Killings Shock Chennai
Chennai witnessed two shocking incidents of deadly violence. In Ambattur, a 53-year-old autorickshaw driver named Maxwell was hacked to death by a gang of five men who barged into his home. They used knives and fled the scene in his autorickshaw. Neighbors who heard Maxwell’s screams alerted the police, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance staff.
The motive appears to be related to a prior murder, in which Maxwell’s son Moses and his associates were involved. The police suspect the attack was revenge by the family of the prior victim. In a separate incident near Sholavaram, a 25-year-old daily wage worker named Sarath Babu was chased down by a gang of four men on motorcycles and hacked to death. The Sholavaram police have initiated an investigation into this brutal attack.
