Two Arrested for Assaulting Elderly Woman and Robbery in Chennai

In Chennai, two suspects have been arrested for their involvement in the assault and robbery of an elderly woman in the T. Nagar area. The victim, Rekhabhai, aged 64 and a resident of T. Nagar, was at home when three unidentified individuals entered her residence. They brandished a knife, demanded her valuables, and assaulted her when she cried out.

The assailants fled the scene with her mobile phone and a handbag containing ₹2,000. Following a complaint filed by the victim’s husband, the Mambalam Police conducted an investigation leading to the arrest of the two suspects, identified as A. Ravikumar, also known as Rasappan, aged 43, and C. Samivel, aged 48, from Kotturpuram.
