Vikarabad district in Telangana witnessed a devastating thunderstorm that claimed the lives of three individuals on Sunday. Koniti Lakshmappa and Mangali Srinivas, who were working in fields, along with M. Golla, standing under a tree, fell victim to lightning strikes.
Despite efforts, all three succumbed to their injuries at Tandur Government Hospital. The storm also wreaked havoc, causing power outages and uprooting trees and power poles across several districts in the state. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning, forecasting intermittent light rains, thundershowers, and gusty winds till May 23.
