In a harrowing incident in northeast Delhi, a 19-year-old youth lost his life after being fatally stabbed by a 16-year-old juvenile, as confirmed by local authorities. The confrontation unfolded in a park adjoining the Imambara in the area, leading to a swift police response following a distress call to the control room at 10:02 p.m. Despite immediate efforts to save him, the victim, identified as Shoaib, was declared brought dead at Jag Pravesh Hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast), Joy Tirkey, revealed that Shoaib suffered a fatal injury to the left side of his chest. Eyewitnesses on the scene reported a fight preceding the stabbing, and the 16-year-old assailant was promptly apprehended, with the weapon used in the crime recovered from his possession.
Initial investigations suggest that the tragic incident stemmed from an earlier altercation when Shoaib and his friends had assaulted the minor, who had been seeking revenge. The juvenile had a knife in his possession when he confronted Shoaib in Imambara Park, leading to this unfortunate loss of life.
