Tragic Love Story Ends in Double Tragedy in Kanpur

In a harrowing incident in Bilhaur, Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, a jilted lover allegedly hacked his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend to death in broad daylight. The victim, Shanno Kashyap, was on her way to her sister’s house with her brother-in-law and nephew when her former boyfriend, Suresh Kumar, intercepted them on a bike. Kumar rammed into them, causing them to fall, and without warning, attacked Shanno with an axe and a knife, inflicting grievous injuries to her neck and head.

Shanno was rushed to a community health center but was pronounced dead on arrival. Her brother-in-law and nephew also sustained injuries in the attack. A manhunt for Suresh ensued, and he was found unconscious near the GT Road highway, later succumbing to poison ingestion. The tragic incident unfolded due to the complexities of a past relationship, and further action will be based on a complaint from the victim’s family, according to ACP Ajay Dwivedi.
