Tragic Drowning Incident During Ganesh Idol Immersion in Uttar Pradesh

In a tragic incident during the Ganesh idol immersion in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district, three youths lost their lives, while another remains in critical condition at the Medical College Saifai. The incident occurred on Thursday evening at Markandeya Kund in Bidhuna. Five youths began bathing in the pond after immersing the Ganesh idol.

Unfortunately, they found themselves in deep water and began drowning. Bystanders raised alarm, and some skilled swimmers managed to rescue one young man. However, three others, identified as Bijendra Shakya, Atul Nai, and Aryan, could not be saved and succumbed during treatment. The fourth victim, Ajay Kumar, is currently in critical condition. Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
