Tragic Collapse of Makeshift Houses in Lucknow Leaves Father and Infant Daughter Dead

In a tragic incident in the Vrindavan Yojna area of Lucknow, a 25-year-old man and his two-month-old daughter lost their lives when several makeshift houses collapsed in the early hours of Friday. Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the fire department, and the police rushed to the scene to conduct rescue operations.

The incident occurred after locals heard a loud thud just after midnight, and it is believed that land subsidence may have occurred due to nearby construction activity. The makeshift houses were inhabited by laborers from Pratapgarh and Sitapur working on a construction project nearby. Twelve individuals were injured and taken to the SGPGI trauma center for treatment, while efforts continued to locate other potential victims.
