Tragic Accident in Bihar: Three Killed as Car of Madhepura District Magistrate Hits Pedestrians
A tragic incident unfolded in Bihar’s Madhubani district as a speeding car, reportedly belonging to the Madhepura District Magistrate, struck and killed three people while critically injuring two others. The accident occurred at 8 a.m. on National Highway number 57, and the vehicle rammed into the divider after the collision. An investigation is underway to determine whether the Madhepura DM was inside the car at the time of the accident.
The injured victims have been rushed to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital. Local villagers, asserting that the victims were pedestrians, blocked the road in protest, demanding action against the driver.
Their demands include service lanes on the stretch and compensation for the families of the victims. Authorities, including the DSP of Phulparas and SDO, are on-site managing the situation.
