A journey to Tirupati turned tragic for three families from Haveri, Karnataka, as their multi-utility vehicle (MUV) overturned near Ranebennur, resulting in the loss of four lives and injuries to six individuals. The accident, occurring near Hale Antaravalli Underpass, was attributed to the driver’s reported loss of control over the vehicle after he dozed off.
The impact of the crash claimed three lives instantly, with another succumbing to injuries at a nearby hospital. Among the deceased were residents of Ashwini Nagar in Haveri, including Suresh Veerappa Jaadi, Aishwarya Irappa Barki, Chetana Samangadi, and Pavitra Prabhuraj Samangadi. Honnappa Barki, one of the injured passengers, recounted the harrowing incident, underscoring the need for vigilance and caution during long journeys.
