Tragedy Strikes Avadi Air Force Station

In a somber turn of events, 55-year-old Kalidas, a Defence Security Corps member, was found dead at a watchtower in the Avadi Air Force Station early Wednesday. Hailing from Pazhayaagaram village, Kalidas resided with his family in government quarters.

Preliminary investigations by Muthapudupet Police suggest suicide as the cause of death. His body has been sent to Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for further examination. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the defense establishment.
