In a tragic incident on May 29, a vehicle from the convoy of BJP Lok Sabha candidate Karan Bhushan Singh ran over two youths and injured a woman near Baikunth Degree College in Gonda district.
The victims, Rehan Khan (17) and Shehzad Khan (20), were killed instantly while Sita Devi (60) was hospitalized. The incident follows the BJP’s decision to nominate Karan, son of the embattled Brij Bhushan Singh, for the Kaiserganj constituency. The police have seized the vehicle and are investigating. The Trinamool Congress has criticized the BJP, linking this event to the alleged criminal behavior of Karan’s father, Brij Bhushan Singh.
