Traffic Changes on Santhome High Road for Light House Station Construction

In response to the upcoming construction work for the Light House Station by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), the Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) has announced traffic modifications at the Santhome High Road-Karneeswarar Koil Street junction. Effective from March 9, vehicles traveling from Gandhi Statue on Kamarajar Salai towards Santhome High Road will be redirected at Light House junction to Loop Road.

Conversely, vehicles approaching from Karneeswarar Koil Street will be mandated to make a left turn towards Light House, prohibiting entry into the Papanasam Sivan Salai junction. Loop Road and a segment of Santhome High Road will function as one-way routes for the next three months to accommodate these changes.
