Tourist Bus Accident in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar District Injures 24, No Fatalities Reported
A tourist bus traveling from West Bengal met with an accident on the Bandipur forest road in Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka, leaving 24 people injured. The incident occurred when the bus, registered as WB 37D 5712, overturned as the driver lost control while navigating a curve on the forest road near Melukamanahalli in the early hours of Wednesday.
The bus was en route from Ooty in Tamil Nadu to Mysuru in Karnataka. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, and all injured tourists were promptly transported to Gundlupet Government Hospital, where they received medical attention, with all passengers now reported to be out of danger.
The bus belongs to Pakshiraj Tours and Travels Company in Neamatpur, West Bengal. Despite the accident happening in a wildlife-prone area, there were no reports of any untoward incidents, and local residents and police quickly responded to rescue the victims and provide assistance.
