Three Arrested for Assaulting Man in Old Washermenpet Over Mobile Phone

Three individuals, including a juvenile, were arrested for allegedly assaulting a 36-year-old man, K. Manoj, in Old Washermenpet, Chennai. The incident occurred when Manoj refused to give his mobile phone to one of the three individuals who approached him to make a call. In response, they verbally abused him, and one of them attacked him with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Manoj sustained injuries and reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of M. Santhosh and B. Giriprasad, both aged 19 and 21 respectively, from Thiruvottiyur. Additionally, a 17-year-old juvenile was apprehended in connection with the assault.
