Third National Opposition INDIA Conclave Set to Shape Election Strategy

The stage is prepared for the upcoming third National Opposition INDIA Conclave, scheduled for September 1, where 28 opposition parties from across India will converge for discussions between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The gathering is an increase from the previous Bengaluru meet in July, where 26 parties participated. Nearly 100 leaders, including 11 Chief Ministers, Presidents, Vice-Presidents, and other high-ranking officials, have begun arriving in Mumbai since Wednesday.

Prominent figures like Mamata Banerjee, Lalu Prasad, Tejashwi Yadav, and others have already reached the city, while Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge are expected to arrive on Thursday. A press conference with Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders will be held later. Ahead of the main conclave, INDIA leaders will gather for an informal meeting followed by a dinner hosted by Uddhav Thackeray. The central focus of the conclave will be to formulate strategies and a roadmap for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with the INDIA bloc aiming to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

The conclave will also unveil the ‘INDIA logo,’ which is anticipated to serve as a common emblem for parties alongside their individual symbols during the upcoming elections. Following the event, opposition leaders will attend a luncheon hosted by the Maharashtra and Mumbai Congress units, followed by a joint press conference to highlight the key outcomes of the discussions.
