The New College Marks 20 Years of Lifesaving Blood Donations
The New College in Royapettah celebrates 20 years of inspiring blood donations, achieving over 12,000 units donated by students to government hospitals. This initiative began in 2004 with 62 students and has grown significantly, with the college now hosting multiple camps annually.
Spearheaded by J. Sulaiman, the drive educates and motivates students, emphasizing that one unit of blood can save multiple lives. The NSS, YRC, and Rotaract Club members lead the efforts, fostering a culture of giving. In recognition, students receive attendance credit and appreciation for their lifesaving contributions.
