The body of Woman Missing Since Sunday Recovered from the Musi River in Telangana
On Wednesday, the body of a 55-year-old woman, identified as Laxmi of DS Nagar in Kavadiguda, was recovered from the Musi River in Telangana. Laxmi had gone missing on Sunday after reportedly slipping into the Hussain Sagar Nala near her residence. Her body was discovered amid debris at Musarambagh bridge by municipal workers using a JCB.
This marks the second tragic incident in the city within days, following a four-year-old boy falling into an open manhole in the Bachupally area on Tuesday, with his body later found in a nearby lake. The search operation for Laxmi, involving 100 rescue personnel, had previously included expert swimmers and drone technology but had failed to locate her.
Laxmi had been living alone, and her disappearance had raised concerns after her daughter found the house empty, with indications of structural damage from recent rains.
