In a notable development, tenders have been floated for the construction of an additional ramp at the Tambaram flyover in Chennai. The project is estimated to cost around ₹10 crore, with land acquisition accounting for ₹2.5 crore and the civil cost amounting to ₹7.5 crore.

This initiative marks a unique approach in the city, as it involves modifying an existing facility to create additional amenities for motorists. The Tambaram flyover currently features a rotary on the top and six ramps, two on each side, facilitating access to various locations such as GST Road, Mudichur, and Pallavaram.
