Ten Arrested in Gujarat for Operating Illicit Call Center Scam Targeting Americans

Ten individuals, nine of whom are from Nagaland and Manipur, were arrested in Gujarat’s Junagadh for running an illicit call center aimed at defrauding American citizens. The operation resulted in the seizure of Rs 3 lakh in cash and items valued at Rs 8.50 lakh. The arrests occurred on Thursday, and investigations are ongoing.

Initial interrogations revealed the involvement of several individuals, including those from Ahmedabad and Thane, Maharashtra. These operations primarily targeted unsuspecting American individuals in scams.
