Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao lauded the state’s pioneering efforts in tribal development, citing it as a model for the country. On the occasion of ‘World Adivasi Day’ on August 9, the Chief Minister extended his greetings to tribal communities and highlighted the government’s commitment to their welfare.
KCR emphasized Telangana’s successful implementation of various welfare schemes over the last nine years, which have brought about a positive transformation in the lives of tribals. The government’s initiatives include ensuring potable drinking water supply, irrigation facilities, free electricity, and distribution of land pattas to tribals, thereby safeguarding their forest and land rights.
Telangana’s efforts have led to the revival of forest cover and the active participation of tribals in democratic processes, reflecting the state’s dedication to tribal upliftment.
