The Federation of Professional Colleges of Telangana State has urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to clear ₹6,500 crore in fee reimbursement dues pending since the BRS tenure. Colleges, represented by members Ravi Kumar, T. Jaipal Reddy, Sudhir Kumar, and S. Parameshwar Reddy, highlighted the financial strain caused by the non-release of funds since 2020.
They noted that tokens worth ₹1,500 crore, issued but unpaid, exacerbate the issue, impacting teacher retention and student stability. The Federation lamented failed attempts to address concerns with former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and stressed the urgent need for arrears to prevent further educational disruptions. They recalled the smoother reimbursement process under the previous Congress government, advocating for a similar quarterly dues clearance system.
