Telangana Governor Emphasizes Financial Discipline in New Congress-Led Government
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has highlighted the focus of the new Congress-led Telangana Government on instilling financial discipline in the state. She emphasized that there is a lack of fiscal discipline and financial prudence due to the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government’s “bad governance.”
The Governor stated that improving the financial situation is a top priority for the new administration, identifying areas of financial mismanagement and wasteful expenditure.
The state aims to restore financial prudence without imposing additional burdens on the people. The Governor also addressed the financial crises faced by power utilities and the Civil Supplies Corporation, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in financial matters. The government plans to release white papers detailing the financial condition of each department to inform the public accurately.
