Telangana Government’s Ambitious Plans for AI City and Internet Access
In a bold move, the Telangana Government has unveiled plans to establish a dedicated AI city spanning 50 to 100 acres, positioning Hyderabad and the state as the country’s AI capital. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan emphasized the government’s commitment to invite top global and national technology firms to establish AI Centers in the region.
Additionally, the government aims to introduce internet access as a basic right, signaling a significant shift in digital policy. This initiative underscores the state’s determination not only to develop digital infrastructure but also to ensure its accessibility and affordability across all segments of society.
To facilitate this vision, the government plans to implement comprehensive digital literacy programs aimed at empowering every household, irrespective of economic status or geographic location, to leverage the benefits of rapid digital advancements.
