Telangana Government Offers Up to 90% Discount on Unpaid Traffic Challans

The Telangana government has introduced a special discount scheme for individuals with pending unpaid traffic challans, allowing them to avail of discounts of up to 90%. The offer, applicable from December 26 to January 10, 2024, aims to encourage citizens to clear their pending challans ahead of the mega national Lok Adalat scheduled for December 30.

The discount percentages vary based on the category of the vehicle. Push carts and TSRTC buses are eligible for a 90% waiver, two-wheelers and three-wheelers receive an 80% discount, and light and heavy motor vehicles, including cars and trucks, qualify for a 60% discount. The initiative aligns with efforts to streamline traffic violations and promote compliance with road safety regulations.
