Telangana Building Collapse: Second Worker Found Dead, Rescue Operation Concludes
In a tragic incident in Telangana’s Bhadrachalam town, the body of a second construction worker, Padishala Upender Rao, was recovered from the debris early Friday morning, nearly 24 hours after the first worker, Kameshwar Rao, was found.
The building, which was under construction, collapsed due to an alleged structural fault, trapping two workers on the ground floor. Rescue teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other agencies worked tirelessly to retrieve the victims.
Kameshwar Rao succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital. The building was being constructed by Srinivas Moula, who reportedly violated building regulations, constructing additional floors without proper permits.
Despite local residents raising concerns about the structure’s stability, authorities failed to intervene in time. Moula, also known as Sri Pathi, has been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
