Teenager Murdered by Cousins Over Rs 115 Egg Curry Bill in Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district, a 15-year-old boy was killed by his cousins, aged 18 and 19, following a heated argument over the payment of a Rs 115 bill for egg curry. The four cousins had ordered two plates of egg curry and rice at a local eatery. The dispute escalated as they argued about who would cover the bill, ultimately resulting in the murder of Chandan Lal.
The victim had gone missing from his residence in Ghughuli and was discovered dead in a banana field near Ahiroli village. His father, Chhote Lal, filed a complaint with the police, leading to the arrest of the two older cousins and the detention of the 14-year-old minor involved in the incident. The cousins have been charged with murder, with the minor held in a juvenile center and the other two in police custody.
The accused confessed that they had killed Chandan after he refused to pay the bill during a verbal altercation, later disposing of his body in thickets in Ahiroli.
