Teen Abducted and Gang-Raped in Hapur, India

In a horrifying incident in Hapur, India, a class 11 student was abducted at gunpoint while on her way to school in an auto-rickshaw. The assailants took her to a hotel where a third person joined them, and they proceeded to gang-rape her.

The 16-year-old survivor, in her police complaint, mentioned that she was threatened with dire consequences if she reported the incident. However, she managed to escape and return home, where she shared her ordeal with her family. The family then filed a complaint with the Hapur police. All three accused are reported to be school dropouts.
