Chennai Metro Rail’s direct train service between Chennai Central and Chennai Airport Metro Rail stations has been cancelled for Wednesday, May 15, 2024, due to a technical issue. Passengers traveling from Chennai Central to the airport will need to change trains at Alandur Metro Rail station.
Emergency maintenance is underway to resolve the issue, as thousands of commuters rely on this service, especially during peak hours. However, the rest of the services on both lines, from Chennai Central to St Thomas Mount and Wimco Nagar to Chennai airport, are operating as per schedule.
