Techie Robbed After Falling for Massage Service Scam

Two individuals have been arrested by the Nungambakkam police for their involvement in robbing a 29-year-old software engineer. The victim, residing in Gopal Nagar, Nungambakkam, was lured by a massage service advertisement that appeared on his mobile phone. Upon contacting the supposed representative of the parlor, the victim was directed to a location on Kumarappa Street in Nungambakkam.

There, he was ambushed, bound, assaulted, and robbed at knifepoint, losing ₹4,000 in cash, 12 grams of gold jewelry, and suffering unauthorized credit card withdrawals totaling ₹2,04,699. The victim managed to escape and reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of two suspects who were subsequently remanded in judicial custody after being produced in court.
