The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has condemned the State government’s reaction to the film ‘Rajadhani Files’ as “knee-jerk,” alleging suppression of freedom of expression. Former journalist and TDP candidate Kalikiri Muralimohan, contesting from the Puthalapattu assembly constituency, highlighted the film’s depiction of events leading to the downfall of Amaravati.
He accused the government of curtailing dissent and transparency by halting the film’s release. Muralimohan criticized the government’s failure to fulfill promises regarding capital development and warned of public backlash for its actions. Instead of focusing solely on electoral support, Muralimohan aims to educate voters about candidates’ qualifications and issues, emphasizing the importance of informed decision-making among the electorate.
