Tamil Nadu Shines in NEET with Increased Pass Percentage

Tamil Nadu has outperformed in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance-Test (NEET) this year, with a pass percentage of 58.4%, surpassing last year’s 54.4% and the national average of 56.4%.

The state government’s NEET coaching for students in government and government-aided schools has contributed to this success, despite the challenging 45-day preparation period. Syed Arifin Yusuf M. from Tamil Nadu secured the top position in NEET-UG with 99.9 marks, along with 66 others nationwide. The increase in the number of candidates appearing for the exam and the significant rise in qualifiers indicate a positive trend in medical education aspirations in the state.
