Tamil Nadu Schools Reopen with Enhanced Facilities and Celebrations
After a delay due to a heatwave, Tamil Nadu schools will reopen on June 10, following a summer break. The State government has directed schools to clean and repair premises and will celebrate the reopening with sweet pongal in honor of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s birth anniversary.
Additionally, the government plans to distribute textbooks, notebooks, and atlases to over 70 lakh students. Efforts to improve infrastructure include setting up broadband connectivity and hi-tech labs in over 8,000 middle schools, along with providing primary school teachers with tablets for teaching and content creation.
